A man who killed five people, by driving his road train into a Northern Territory pub 30 years ago, has been denied parole.
Douglas John Crabbe deliberately drove his truck into the Inland Hotel at Uluru in 1983, after being refused service at the bar.
Five people were killed and 16 others were seriously injured.
Crabbe was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life in prison, but that was later reduced to 30 years without parole.
He was transferred to a West Australian prison in 2005 and came up for a statutory review last month.
Attorney General Michael Mischin says he decided not to release Crabbe after considering a report from the Prisoner Review Board.
Crabbe, who is now 66 years old, will be eligible for parole again in 2016.
