Labor heading for loss: Galaxy Poll (AAP) - ( 4U5TR4L14 )

The latest Galaxy Poll shows Kevin Rudd hasn’t made any headway on the eve of the election, with Labor heading for a big defeat.

The poll shows Labor’s primary vote is 35 per cent, compared to the coalition’s 45 per cent.

The position is unchanged from the last poll taken between August 28-29.

On a two-party-preferred basis, Labor languishes on 47 per cent, while the coalition sits on 53 per cent.

Australians vote tomorrow and newspapers are predicting Labor faces a repeat of the 1996 election landslide that swept Paul Keating from power.

Galaxy polled 1503 voters between September 2-4.
