Get ready to have the blues in  2014!

Pantone has just announced the top colors for spring 2014, and Dazzling Blue has come out on top.

The vibrant shade, which is a smidge more muted than its electric cobalt cousin, is already a fave among fashionable celebs and, according to the color matching company's executive director Leatrice Eiseman, most women already own it—news that's sure to please many a gal with an expensive shopping habit.

Indeed, we've seen the classic  shade pop up again and again over the years, like on fashion icon Kate Middleton, who wowed us back in 2011 when she wore a ladylike Erdem dress in the brilliant hue, as well as on red carpet regular Kristen Stewart who opted for a flirtier long-sleeved mini by Stella McCartney in the shade at last year's Kids' Choice Awards.

More recently, we saw Taylor Swift hitting the Billboard Music Awards in May in an eye-catching Zuhair Murad creation and Katy Perry showing up at the Smurfs 2 premiere in July in a Tadashi Shoji dress in the popular hue.

And you also might find the color a bit familiar looking, since Pantone compares it to Facebook's "social butterfly blue" and Citibank's "bike sharing program."

But if the bold blue hue is a little too loud for your liking, worry not! There are plenty of chic and subtle colors for those who would rather ring in the spring with slightly more understated style. In fact, Pantone's pick for the seventh most popular shade—placid blue—is the perfect alternative for those looking for a cooler blue.

"What's interesting is we're seeing exciting and fashionable colors as well as more neutral ones," Eiseman said. "It's not as though everyone is willing to wear the bright colors from recent seasons head-to-toe."
