Man charged over fatal Sydney stabbing (AAP) - ( 4U5TR4L14 )

A man has been charged with murder over the fatal stabbing of a bricklayer on a western Sydney building site.

The 54-year-old tradesman was found by police with multiple stab wounds after they were called to a cul-de-sac at St Clair on Monday morning.

Emergency services tried to revive the man but he died at the scene, police said.

A few hours after the attack a man attended Campsie police station and following a day-long investigation a 41-year-old man was charged with murder.

Bail was refused and the man will appear at Burwood Local Court on Tuesday.

Earlier media reports said police had difficulty with the investigations as many of the witnesses had poor English.

A neighbour said she heard a argument in the usually quiet street around the time of the attack.

“You could hear words, like, being said and then it just got a little bit louder, enough for us to think `oh geez that sounds like they’re cranky,” Neita O’Callaghan told the Seven Network.
