A woman has died after her car veered off the road and hit a tree in southwest Victoria.
Police say she was driving along Timboon-Colac Road on Monday evening when she apparently lost control of the car at Jancourt East, near Warrnambool.
The woman, who was the only person in the car, died at the scene.
She is yet to be formally identified.
The state’s road toll stands at 161, compared to 186 last year.
